Around 41.63 lakh notices have been delivered so far to electors in Karnataka as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, while 2.18 lakh notices are yet to be delivered, the CEO's office said on Friday.

The state has 4,48,44,080 electors on the roll as of 25 September, comprising 2.22 crore male, 2.25 crore female and 2,873 transgender electors, it said.

The notices have been issued to electors whose names fall under the 'No Mapping' and 'Anomalies' categories.

The CEO’s office said that 43,82,296 notices were generated across the state.

“Of that, 41,63,368 notices have been delivered, while 2,18,928 notices are yet to be delivered,” it said.

The CEO's office said 28,80,882 (69.20 per cent) hearings have been completed, and 12,82,486 hearings are pending.

The CEO's office said it received 7,70,988 Form 6 applications, 4,551 Form 6A applications, 61,130 Form 7 applications and 11,11,495 Form 8 applications, taking the total to 19,48,164.

The last hearing will be on 12 October, while 22 October is the last date for disposal of claims and objections.
